The semi-rugged, highly durable GoBook Itronix VR-2 notebook from General Dynamics is optimized for vehicle-deployed workforce with DynaVue all-light viewable display technology.

This ergonomically designed next generation Itronix VR-2 notebook is powered by the Intel Core 2 Duo T7300 2.0 GHz processor, 800 MHz FSB, 4MB L2 cache, up to 4GB memory and the Intel GM965 Express Chip set keeps the field-deployed, mission-critical workers productive and online throughout the deployment life cycle, with integrated wireless features. Specially designed for mobile workers in field service, public safety and military, the GoBook VR-2 has a 13.3-inch (optional touchscreen) display with DynaVue display technology that offers viewing in all lighting conditions, including direct sunlight. The optional touchscreen display eliminates internal reflections, while DynaVue improves direct sunlight contrast ratio for better viewability. The GoBook VR-2 comes standard with a spill-resistant keyboard (with a tested 400 ml, 10-minute soak spill), and dual integrated task lights.

The GoBook VR-2 Weighs 6.2 pounds and can withstand a rated 6 drops from 30 inches. This notebook PC features integrated 802.11 a/b/g standard wireless devices-WI-FI ("WLAN"), Cellular Data ("WWAN"), Embedded GPS, and Bluetooth in the same device. The GoBook VR-2 is designed to provide highly reliable connectivity across the wireless networks. Designed for expansive radio frequency coverage, it has internal antennas, a magnesium case for RF shielding, and extensive RF noise filtering.

The GoBook VR-2, to protect users' information and networks, offers multiple security features including TPM 1.2 Network Security Standard, integrated fingerprint scanner, integrated CAC (Smart Card) reader, removable HDD (for localizing and storing sensitive data) and excellent password startup configurations.
