The Motorola MW810 is a fully rugged modular mobile workstation for using while traveling in vehicles on mission-critical assignments. All critical and sensitive components, such as system unit, display, keyboard, are ruggedized and configured to be vehicle-mountable in various ways. More power with Intel Core 2 Duo processor which has two processing cores to handle multiple tasks in less time, consuming less power. The MW810 uses a heat-and-shock-protected 80GB HDD. The system also can be run without the HDD using the 4GB flash drive.
The Motorola MW810 provides additional expansion and interfaces in the primary display unit. The very compact Motorola MW810 system unit can accommodate multiple expansion boards that can add communications, video and other expansion options, including DVI video output, up to four USB ports and up to four RS232 ports, or composite video output. Both the screens can accept either standard analog or digital input. It comes with a tempered glass touchscreen and three more USB ports and optional Bluetooth. You can use the display to communicate quickly and with minimum effort. Six soft-key buttons, backlit for visibility and situated across the bottom of the display, can be assigned to different functions with the help of mobile application software control. To send a distress signal, a one-touch emergency key is located on the top of the display that can be easily reached thus eliminating the need for keyboard or radio use in a crisis situation. Customers can outfit all their vehicle types with the same CPU platform, which simplifies equipment maintenance and life cycle management.
The internal PCI Express Mini Card slots allow wireless LAN and one of three available wireless WAN radio options. The radios provided include Motorola MW810 include private DataTAC, CDMA EV-DO, or HSDPA/UMTS/EDGE/GPRS. The Motorola MW810 unit can also be equipped with a Trimble Lassen iQ GPS module supporting multiple protocols, or a dead-reckoning GPS.
The MW810 comes with installation and lifecycle management advantages over other products through its versatile three-piece design with separate display, Central Processing Unit (CPU) and keyboard. An inbuilt choice of configurations allows customers to fit the system to their vehicle types with the same CPU platform, customized to their own needs and specifications.
The MW810 system can support either 12 or 24 Volt vehicle power and is specially built to withstand substantial rough use. Sealing meets IP54 standard. Operating temperatures of the system range from -22 to 158 degrees. The Motorola MW810 is tested for humidity, shock, flammability, radiation, vibration, dust, salt fog, etc in accordance with the MIL-STD standards and other testing procedures.
