The GETAC V100 has also been built to meet military specifications for ruggedness; MIL-STD-810F and IP54. These standards ensure that the V100 will withstand environmental hazards; wind, dust, rain, sun, temperature fluctuations, humidity, and well as shocks, drops, vibration, and electromagnetic disturbances. The completely sealed nature of the internal components will mean that no moisture, dirt, or dust can enter and corrode the integral components of the V100. Even the ports of the V100 are completely sealed. GETAC has taken ruggedness to a higher level by protecting the HDD even further with a suspended, slide-out metal caddy that prevents damage during a fall.
The V100 can be used with the touchpad, or an optional touchscreen can be navigated with the use of a stylus or your fingertip. The V100 offers an optional handstrap affixed to its underside, allowing you to carry the Getac V100 around for prolonged periods with ease, no need of a carry bag.
